Nespresso is one of the world’s most exciting and successful brands, so it’s always a pleasure to work with their brilliant innovation team.
Back in October 2015, we were asked to plan, prepare and moderate a creative workshop to explore how they might carve-out a share of the fast-growing iced-coffee market.
We put together a high-energy creative session where Nespresso’s marketing, insight, product and digital teams brainstormed alongside their digital agencies and Pinterest to build on insights, explore their options, generate ideas and craft concepts.
The ideas came thick and fast … so within a single day, we were able to create a bank of potential initiatives, prioritise them … and map out a strategic pathway for implementation over several years
After just 10 months of incredibly focused effort, the Nespresso team brought the first output of this workshop to market as: Nespresso on Ice. Showcasing three existing Grand Cru coffees and lots of creative cold-serve recipes, it focussed on building awareness across a number of digital channels. This fast-track initiative was a huge success!
It’s great to see the second wave of the innovation plan being implemented with the launch of two brilliant, new, limited-edition coffee blends that have been specifically optimised for cold serving!
It just goes to show how much value a single, well planned day of workshopping can deliver!
